About Us
Otter on the Rocks is a modest cocktail bar in West Seattle. Our work is a collaboration between the owner, Tanner, and the diversified backgrounds of all employees. We pride ourselves on quality and authenticity while maintaining classic fundamentals and consistently pushing boundaries of the local niches. Along with our cocktail program, we offer a memorable experience with warm and welcoming hospitality that suits all groups of people in the neighborhood as well as hopefully becoming a staple for our local West Seattle community.
Mission
To bring quality classic and Otter original cocktails to West Seattle in a warm, fun and welcoming space, not just for date nights but for all, with exciting events every week.
We hope to educate the public about spirits and cocktails and be able to provide an entertainment outlet for the neighborhood.
the Owners
Tanner Jitmongkonkul and his wife Erin started Otter on the Rocks in Spring of 2022. Originally from Thailand, Tanner moved to Seattle at age 12 and grew up in the city. After working as a bartender for years and having a pop-up dessert business derailed by the shutdown of COVID, Tanner pivoted and wrote a business plan of the industry he knew best. Tanner and Erin now live in West Seattle with a nice, short commute to what they hope to be another staple community space of the neighborhood.
